How is your understanding on the topic after doing the project?

From doing all the projects i got to understand more on what Digital media is all about. Throughout the semester we were taught different things that enhanced our knowledge, naming the few: flash, Dreamweaver, multimedia videos, which required more practice, more understanding with the subject.

What were the problems you were faced with? How did you and your team members solve it

I was having problems with Flash but one of my group mates showed me how it is done.

What would you do next time?

I would definitely practice so that i would not have problems in doing the work hence summiting on time

How was working in a group

Well it was great, my group leader was a very helpful, and she was patient as well as the other group mates so it has been an awesome semester working with them.

How was working on the project

First when we started the project we got to discuss on which topic to do and among our selves who will do which part. As we went on it was really existing even in finding the information and doing the flash.. For me the work was done well from the beginning till the end.

1. How is your understanding of the topic after doing the project?

This project about Digital Media Technology is provided for us who wish to develop, design and implement projects in the fast growing field of digital media. I can learn the techniques and tools used in digital media, such as three Adobe applications: Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash. Core courses focus on the basic areas of computer graphics, multimedia, digital video, sound, text and animation. The project makes me to apply practical experience towards developing works, such as design E-wallpaper and website.

2. Understanding about digital media?

Digital media (as opposed to analog media) are usually electronic media that work on digital codes. Digital media must be stored in an electronic way, so there is a lot of digital content on the internet today, including computer graphics, digital video, sound, text and animation as well as multimedia. With the popularity of digital media, it is definitely important that we continue to create and use it for good marketing and business results. Larger companies started to put date on computers instead of storing it in cabinets, and the internet is allowed as a great way to share, transfer, and store content as well. So we know about and use digital media is definitely important for our business success today.

3. What were the problems faced during the project? How did you/your team solve your group problems?

My computer cannot install the Photoshop tool; this is the major problem for me.

So ,my member borrow me her laptop and this enable me to finish the task om time

4. What would you do differently next time?

I will try to do practice about digital media project. I would like to apply three Adobe applications: Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash. I will search more information through the Internet.

5. How is your motivation level?

Digital media is a new subject for me. When first time to learn, I think it very difficult for me. Therefore, I want to overcome the problem. With the learning, I feel this subject is very interesting. I can learn a lot of knowledge from this subject. This is my motivation level.

6. How was working with your group, team leader, tutorial group leader and Project Manager?

We have five group members. We always discuss about our final project. The team leader is very responsible for everything. She explains to me about the steps in making the project. We can work together very happy. The tutorial group leader is very friendly and cooperative.

7. How was it working on the project?

When we begin to do the assignment, our team leader tells me the steps about it. So I should focus on my part only. I can know this part very clearly. We prepare this assignment very early so that we can finish it on time. I use techniques and tools (such as three Adobe applications: Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash.), the knowledge from tutorials and information from Internet.

8. Update on what you have been writing previously

I have been designing website and searching information for my part. I will try my best to learn the techniques and tools. Our website is completed now.

How is your understanding of the topic after doing the project? Understanding about digital media.

Digital media has been a new experience for me as this is the first time i am using dreamweaver, flash and photoshop. Through this assignment i have learnt all the basic skills in all of these 3 softwares. Although it was hard in the beginning i manage to master the basic skills by learning from few sources such as youtube and my friends. Now i am able to create a website on my own. Thanks to digital media.

What is the problem faced during the project? How did you and your team solve the problems?

My biggest problem to do this assignment is i have insufficient space in my pc to install all 3 softwares.

What would you do differently next time?

I would definitely try to come out with a better design next time.

How is your motivation level?

Honestly my motivation level at the beginning of the project was low because i have never used these softwares before and i don't feel confident. But as i learn how to use it, i found it really interesting and it boost my motivation level.

How was working with your group, team leader. Tutorial group leader and project managers.

My group has been really hardworking from the start. Everyone was hardworking and determined to finish this project.

How was it working on the project?

I had a fun time working on this project because unlike other assignments, i get a chance to use creativity in this assignment. Although it is time consuming as i am a beginner, it definitely has been a useful experience.

How were your teammates and team leader?

My teammates are very hardworking and motivated. Team leader is good and responsible.

Personal evaluation of your own In short effort and your team?

I think there are still alot more space for me to improve my work. These whole project is based on teamwork and i think we have supported each other during the process of finishing this assignment.

How is your understanding of the topic after doing the project? Understanding about digital media.

Besides then getting to know more about A’ Famosa, I learnt how to create a good interface; a good designs. Most important is the learning to match the color and make choose the contrast color to make the design outstanding. Next, I learnt the usage of 3 basic designs tool (Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop).

What is the problem faced during the project? How did you and your team solve the problems?

Time is the first problem because the time table of the members is not the same, so sometime we have the difficulty to meet on certain time. To solve this, we choose to conduct meeting via msn.

What would you do differently next time?

Somehow, I think that via internet is the best way to meet to solve the time problems.

How is your motivation level?

If I could give myself a percentage for the motivations level, it would be at least 80%-85%. Because I am excited to learn the tool as I am pretty interested in designing things and drawing.

How was working with your group, team leader. Tutorial group leader and project managers.

Group -Grouping in a small group should be a lot better than working in a big group. I suppose.

Tutorial leader- Working with our tutorial leader is good, I think our leader is a hardworking and responsible person.

How was it working on the project?

I taught applying the Adobe tool is really technical thing, but as time pass the knowledge about the tools do increase plus the help from the You Tube tutorial.

How were your teammates and team leader?

In short, there are still some cooperative members.

Personal evaluation of your own effort and your team?

I think I had contributes my part and more than that (I guess). For the team base, tasks are given to every member and they suppose to do their part well as the briefing about the tasks and the layout already discuss during the meeting.

1. How is your understanding of the topic after doing the project?

The project allows us to apply the lessons that we have learnt from uses of the three Adobe applications, that are; Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash. I have learnt not only the understanding of topics like multimedia and interface but I also learnt topics taught during lectures on appropriate design metaphors for websites after doing the project. I understand that a website has to be simple and understandable and when designing a website for the project, it requires different skills and understanding of many topics learnt in lectures like “K.I.S.S=Keep it simple, silly” and “white space” that are crucial when making a website.

2. Understanding about digital media?

After doing the assignments and project, and attending lectures, I’ve learnt that digital media is about learning about “Multimedia” and its many applications, which includes color, sound, images, designs, the benefits of multimedia, etc. I think digital media helps me to understand more about Multimedia, its benefits and applications towards the business world, in terms of communicating information in a more creative and interactive way, where a user like me is able to interact and learn much more than doing it traditionally or in other ways. Digital media, is a form of media, not traditional but it makes use of sounds, music and images including uses of interface in websites to allow a better two way communication, therefore helps a lot in conveying information in an interactive and much faster way.

3. What were the problems faced during the project? How did you/your team solve your group problems?

There were not many major problems faced during the project. There were only problems of communication among members. Members were having different timeslots and classes, so it was hard for us to meet up. So much of our communication and teamwork were via text messaging and online. It was difficult to get feedbacks quickly from each other but overall, we managed to solve it and in fact, there were much more feedbacks via these methods than from a meeting.

4. What would you do differently next time?

I would probably have done more research on certain topics and do more tutorials for the project. I would love to learn more about webpage designs.

5. How is your motivation level?

For every new subject like Digital Media, I’m excited to learn, especially when it involves new skills and knowledge. My motivation level for any new subject like this will always be high. It’s always good to learn new things everyday.

6. How was working with your group, team leader, tutorial group leader and Project Manager?

With a small group of five members and a friend as a team leader, it wasn’t really hard when it comes to team work. I think it was a great experience working with new people and sharing ideas. Working with a friend as a team leader eases communication. The tutorial group leader was co operative and he was not hard to work with. It was a good experience, working with them.

7. How was it working on the project?

At first, I thought that it was complicated since it involves so many tutorial groups’ works. I was confused with the project but after the team leader briefly explained to us about the process and steps in making the project, the flow became simple and we worked step by step to finish our part only. We actually managed our schedule well, so we knew what to do in each week. After attending tutorials and learning different applications, we did the project appropriately and it was no longer confusing and difficult anymore. We had to do research for information and practiced the tools from each Adobe to create the project.

8. Update on what you have been writing previously

I have been working on the work in progress for my part in the project, like the potential designs of the website and the information that I would include in it. Now the project is completed.

9. How were your teammates & team leader?

They have been nice members and co operation was moderate and the best part of being in a team with them is it wasn’t as tough as expected working with completely new people.

Working with a friend as the team leader was easy since we have been working together in many assignments together, so there weren’t much difficulty in understanding what she wants. She gives us order and I know how to fulfill it. Team mates are able to understand her so her leadership has been friendly and understandable.

10. Personal evaluation of your own effort and that of your team

I think I have done my best in contributing my part and fulfilling task given by my team leader. I just want our website to look appropriate as directed in the assignment brief itself and apply what I have learnt from tutorials into this project. I allowed my self to spend time during weekends designing my part and finding information. My team has been working hard too, doing what we should do as members and we followed exactly as briefed in the project outline and we allowed ideas and suggestions and decided the design of the project together. We took the project seriously and made it as both our personal and team efforts.

of the place.

objective of link : This page will help the visitors to have basic knowledge of the place they want to see. also it acts as an enticement as they will get to find out the exciting origin of the place and buildings.

GUI : The designs are going to be clear and simple 'to understand. i will also use relevant pictures to make the link more eye catching.

Dreamweaver: using Dreamweaver is the best thing that could ever happen. it is not too complex as there is no coding needed. and once you know how to go about it everything woks out.

Hello everyone … I’m Milly

Description on the individual ideation of link

I am designing the activity page. The activity page will basically inform visitors about all the activities that they could around Afamosa. The page has many attractive pictures of the places they could go and descriptions about the places and the activities that they could do there.

Objective of links

This links will help visitors to plan their vacation more effectively. By knowing other places around A Famosa visitors could plan the numbers of day they would like to stay in Malacca and also prepare the proper attires to wear to those places. Besides that, through this links visitors could also prepare financially to do the activities around A Famosa.

Design of GUI

Since our group team is simple and clear, there will be many attractive pictures with simple and clear buttons to direct visitors.

Photoshop

I will be using photoshops to do some editing on the pictures to make it more attractive. The purpose is to make visitors have a clearer picture and help them to understand the content easily.

Dreamweaver

Dreamweaver has made my job easier since there is no coding involved. I am still exploring dreamweaver and trying to challenge my creativity with it. Through dreamweaver i could do almost anything i want to in a easy way.
